My Legal Aspirations

For as long as I can remember, the legal field has always fascinated me. While my friends watched sitcoms and cartoons, I chose to watch courtroom dramas and real life trials unfold. There was never really any question as to what I wanted to be when I got older. The only profession for me was that of a trial lawyer. Unfortunately, a serious car accident several years ago changed all that. Now, my injuries prevent me from leaving my home most days. However, my love for the law has never went away. While I may not be able to realize my dreams of becoming a trail lawyer, I still wish to help people with their legal problems. That is why I decided to start this blog. It is my hope that the information contained in these pages will help other accident victims like me when filing their personal injury claims.

Do You Need Personal Injury Represenation?

Blog

Injuries occur for many reasons. When injuries occur in specific circumstances as a result of someone else's negligence or malice, you may be able to sue for damages to pay your medical bills. Finding out if you have a personal injury suit need not be difficult with a little information. For instance, you may need personal injury representation in the following situations.

1. You were injured in a motor vehicle accident

Motor vehicle accidents can be cause for personal injury lawsuits. If you were injured in a car, truck, or motorcycle accident as a driver or pedestrian, you may be entitled to compensation if the other party was at fault. It's important to keep records of all your medical bills for procedures and examinations related to the motor vehicle accident since these can be important evidence in a personal injury case.

2. You were injured on someone's property

You may also have a personal injury case if you were injured on someone else's property. The injury may have taken place in a private residence or store. Property owners can be ruled at fault for injuries that occur as a result of their negligence. This negligence can be a result of improper maintenance or simple carelessness. Property owners can also be found at fault for injuries that occur as a result of malice.

3. You were injured in a public place

If you were injured in a public place that is not considered private property, you may still have a personal injury case. Personal injury attorneys can represent clients who were injured in public places, such as parks and other facilities owned and maintained by city governments. In these cases, you must be able to prove that you were injured as a result of negligence on the city government's part.

If one or more of these situations applies to your case, you should contact a personal injury attorney to discuss your options. Many personal injury attorneys are willing to work on contingency, which makes seeking legal representation affordable; your lawyer will take a percentage of any winnings awarded to you, and you will not need to pay out of pocket. An initial consultation will determine whether or not you have a case, which can help you make decisions based on your available legal options.

If you have suffered physically, emotionally, or financially as a result of your injury, you deserve to work with a lawyer who can help you get the financial compensation you are owed.
